"Delicious and Easy Potted Shrimp Recipe - Perfect for Entertaining!"
It's a British dish, a little 'old school' but a great appetizer. Due to the large amount of butter in it, it can be made ahead of time or frozen.
We used cooked shrimp since that is what we had in the freezer, but you can use raw and cook it yourself. Dice it up very small by hand, or use an electric chopper on the pulse so it doesn't mash it up.
We added sautéed mushroom bits, finely chopped shallots, and fresh herbs from the herb garden. Seasoned with nutmeg, ginger, salt, and pepper. For the butter, we used Ghee, so we didn't have to clarify the butter beforehand.
We added the potted shrimp, sautéed asparagus, and peppers to the lobster ravioli from Costco, which we greatly enjoyed with company. It's a nice and easy dinner.
