Budapest Journey

Updated: Dec 13, 2023

Our Journey starts on Oct 31 in the downtown core of Budapest ( District VII), also known as the Jewish Quarter). We were graciously greeted by our host and were given a verbal tour of the ins and outs of the city

The Jewish Quarter is considered to be the inner part of Budapest's District 7 – the area enclosed by Király Street, Erzsébet körút, Dohány Street, Károly körút

Our first night on the town, after a day walking around, brought us to the area, which encompassed many restaurants. We landed upon this one. Puskas Gozsdu, Hungarian Restaurant District VII (3 stars), was situated in the middle of a row of restaurants off of Gozsdu udvar. We didn't realize that most restaurants. require reservations, who would have thought?

The place was nice and cozy, and the food was very typical of Hungarian cuisine. It was tasty and filling, and there was no issue with portion sizes here. The service was average at best, but that was not the norm for us later in our trip

The dish included Chicken Paprikas with Hungarian Noodles, Red Wine Beef Stew with Buttered Noodles, Hungarian Pork Schnitzel with French Fries

Cheers from Alevia's Kitchen @3ish Acres
